The Guernsey Funds Forum is an event hosted by Guernsey Finance. In 2018 industry leaders discussed paradigm shifts: politics at home and abroad, protectionism, monetary policy, and investor expectations.
The keynote speaker Jonathan Ford, City Editor at the Financial Times, set the scene with insight and analysis of the year’s biggest news stories.
The theme for the 2018 event was ‘if the world turned upside down’ and needed to reflect the changing face of the stock markets with insight into future trends. I designed the graphics for the event utilising elements to represent the stock markets, risk and breaking news. The characters evolved throughout the venue to showcase different areas and elements of the day.
I also worked with a Guernsey College of Further Education design students to create an art instillation in a 6 month project where they could win the chance to be exhibited at the event in London. The winning installation was drop anchor in Guernsey concept with a giant anchor piece and feedback crab pots for attendees to interact with.
I also art directed a videographer and animator to create a promotional video and animation which would attract new attendees to the event and to the following years event.
