The Wedding Design Timeline

Dom and dan save the dates

8-12 MONTHS:

Save the date cards

These are quick notifications to send out to your guests to get the dates in their diaries! No need for more information than who's getting hitched and the date. You could even send out save the evening cards to your evening guests.

6 months

4-6 MONTHS:

Invitations, RSVP and menu cards

You want to get these out as soon as you have all your details confirmed to allow your guests the most time possible to make plans, especially if you are having a destination wedding or if your guests need to travel. Remember to consider your R.S.V.P. deadline carefully to give you time if you need to invite more people.

2-3 months

2-3 MONTHS:

Wedding day stationery

I recommend ordering stationery for the big day at least 2 months before the wedding date. This includes items such as order of service, table numbers, menus, place cards and table plans.

1 month after

1 MONTH AFTER:

Thank you cards

These are much more flexible, you can take advantage of getting the order in even before the big day. Some people even like to start writing their thank yous before the wedding!
