The theme for the first ever Private Wealth Forum was based around ‘The Butterfly Effect’ and how decisions can lead to a knock on effect in the other parts of the world such as Brexit, the election of Trump and North Korea’s missile tests. I created a series of butterflies, painted in the colours of the effecting countries, creating hurricanes inside bell jars, which was representative of Guernsey shielding the world from the devastating consequences of current events.
All the bell jar labels were indicative of these current events labelled as to illude to a traditional collectors library with latin sounding names derived from the events. The wings of the butterflies represented colours of the flags from each current event. The theme was intended to resonate with the audience and reflect the homes of people who might come from a line of fortune.
I art directed all elements of the look and feel of the event from table centers to photography and marketing campaigns.
