Following the success of the virtual events in 2020, Guernsey Private Wealth Forum was staged as an online webinar on the afternoon of Wednesday 14 October.
The annual Private Wealth Forum showcased Guernsey’s long-established and vibrant private wealth sector, and offered a platform for industry experts to discuss the important issues in the industry.
The theme for the 2020 event was 'Emerging from Crisis - Reshaping Family Offices'. To state that 2020 was a year of uncertainty is an understatement. Against a backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic, political turmoil in Hong Kong, the US elections and the threats of kidnap or cyber-attack, family offices were reflecting and preparing for a new operating environment. They were embracing the opportunities provided by remote working or dealing with the challenges that this might pose, considering succession planning for wealth transfer to the next generation or ensuring that they have a robust governance structure.
I reviewed the above themes and issues and designed a newsroom style theme where we could illustrate the mood of the current markets and bring these to life with animation to help promote the event and top and tail the webinar.
